High Society Reggae: Catch a Fire

VP Records, 420 Dub Rockers, is releasing a compilation album, High Society Reggae, featuring various artists as Giark, New Kingston, Eric Rachmany, Autarchii, Alborosie, The Simpkin Project, Lion Fiyah, Soul Rebel Project and Green Lion Crew.

The album is available for purchase, April 20, 2018. As part of the celebration, there will be a launch party on April 19th, in Los Angeles and Brooklyn. Representing the power of the reggae movement, the east and the west coast reggae lovers will be rocking out simultaneously. Certainly, the positive vibes of one love will amplify the heat to the north and the south.

Art is an effective way of mediating society. And yes, this album’s production team made an accurate assessment. It is time we had an album to hold a meditation with our brethren and sistren. Also a financial sound decision as the legalization of cannabis extends to North America, including Canada as of July 2018.

In the context of high society, the quality of work on this album is distinct from other ego driven productions, and as a result often cheaply sounding offerings. Musically and culturally, this album is a refined compilation. Every track is a brilliant arrangement of vocal, lyrical, and musical content. Yet, the compilation is seamless and egoless, no sharp transitions to provoke the meditative state. This level of constituent consciousness can only produce well being in the listener and promote unity with peers.

Before we knew it, we were at the end of the playlist. All the selections are great. From the point of an innovative approach, we like Alborosie’s “Dub420” fusion of reggae and electronic music. Attending the concert to witness this all in real time is beyond comprehension, an amazing plan.
