If Rihanna's performance has left you in a daze trying to master the Gwara Gwara, we have the solution for you. View this dance tutorial by Izzy Odigie , dance choreographer at Okay Africa. There are many more tutorials from this instructor to keep you moving.
The recording artist, L.A.X (Damilola Afolabi) is from Lagos, Nigeria. His hit song, “Gwara Gwara (Baddest Version)” seized the attention of Afro pop lovers across the globe. Originating in the continent of Africa, in the past year, the rhythm created a firestorm across the globe as everyone tried to do the Gwara Gwara dance. At the 2018 Grammy’s, Rihanna ignited the flame in the hearts and feet of viewers. I do not know if we can top the dancers featured in the dance gallery.
Since we love connectivity through the arts, we also celebrate the diverse race and cultures that are embracing this dance. Personally, I do not know how smooth my moves are to be captured on video. Nonetheless, we are still dancing to the Gwara Gwara in this office. Hopefully by practicing the outline given by Izzy Odigie our moves will be on point before spring. Zen Creatif, AG.
